Post Match Review | Cameroon demolished Ethiopia

On the second round of Group A game of the AFCON,  Cameroon host Ethiopia and win by a fine margin. The Indomitable Lions got their second win of the campaign by defeating Ethiopia 4-1.

Ethiopia took the lead in the 4th minute, Amanuel Gebremichael’s cross finds Dawa Hutessa and he putted it in the back of the net. This lead was stands only for four minutes, Cameroonian captain Vincent Abubeker shot from out side the box was saved flby Teklemariam Shanko, then Collins Fai crosses the ball into the penalty box and Karl Toko Ekambi headed into the open net and equalizes his team.

On the 25th minute Ethiopia’s Amanuel Gebremichael tried to score, but the Cameroon goal keeper Andre Onana saves it simply. After the half hour mark the Indomitable Lions took full control of the game and disturb the Ethiopian’s defence. On the 39th min, the goal scorer’s box and Karl Toko Ekambi header denied by the bar. After this attempt Cameroon players were reaching Ethiopia’s goal frequently, But they couldn’t convert their opportunity into goal and the 1st half ended 1-1.

After the restart Cameroon put the Walyas under pressure and they scored two goals in 2min difference. On the 53rd and 55th minute, Cameroon’s Vincent Abubeker scored his 3rd and 4th goal of the campaign.

Although the Cameroon’s lead 3-1 their eagerness were not down to score additional goal. Due to this on the 67th minute Karl Toko Ekambi scored his 2nd and Cameroon’s 4th goal of the game.

Following the result The Indomitable Lions are top of Group A with 6points from 2games and Ethiopia are found on bottom of the Group with 0 points and 4goal deficits.
