Fasil Kenema home away from home game
against Wolyata Dicha at the Wolyata Stadium

was a highly anticipated affair.

The Sunday 5th March encounter had seen fans

criss-cross town on Saturday evening singing and

dance across the streets on and the tempo was

raised early in the morning of the match day

when hundreds of fans arrived at the stadium.

Fans, branded with red and white tops could just

not wait for the game kick off. Ladies, in droves,

went a step better to match the tops with white

pants giving the team a well orchestrated follow

before and during the game.

But the home side had the smiles sending two

past the gathered home fans most of whom had

travelled to Wolyata from everywhere else.

Left cold with no points, fans streaming out of

the stadium were in for another as they were left

lamenting about the match.

“It was just upsetting really. It was disappointing.

We worked so hard and everybody was like, ‘Oh

the Fasil Kenema are coming out of nowhere,

what a blindsided team,’ and then we just let it

go,”said a disappointed Faisal Kenema fan just

before tracing his way back to Addis Ababa.

The defeat leaves Fasil Kenema in the sixth

position with a stagnant 26 points from

seventeen games.
