According to the club’s general manager Ato Ashenafi Amare the club didn’t know where the coach is. Ato Ashenafi said that “The issue is not cleared. we don’t know where he (the coach) is. He didn’t show up neither on training nor in the hotel for a couple of days.” the general manager added that “We don’t know the reason. We are still waiting for him.” But today (Friday, Feb 14, 2020) the club announced that Yohannes Sahle resigned from the managerial position of Wolwalo Adigrat University Club.
Fasil Kenema gets their first away win of the Season
On the only game played on Saturday, Mekele 70 Enderta was defeated by Fasil Kenema (0-2) in their home soil. This win is counted as Fasil Kenema’s first away win of the season. And the win helped the Atse’s to become a league leader for 24hrs. This season’s phenomenal striker Mujib Qassim scored both goals and leading the scorers’ list by 13goals.
Ethiopia Coffee denied a win for 4th consecutive games
On the last game of week 13 on Thursday in the Addis Ababa Stadium Ethiopia Coffee was held by New Comers Wolkite Ketema. This game was planned to be played on Sunday, but due to the African Union meeting, it was postponed to Thursday. On the game, Ahmed Hussein’s 11th-minute goal gave the lead for the visitors but Fikreyesus Teklebirhan’s 30th-minute strike saved Ethiopia Coffee from third consecutive defeat. Ethiopia Coffee can’t win the last four games with two defeat and two draws and it was forced to stay in the relegation zone.
Abel Yalew’s and Getaneh Kebede’s combination rises
St. Georges duo Abel Yalew and Getaneh Kebede scored a brace for 2consecutive games. After Saladin Seid’s injury St. George’s Abel Yalew, Getaneh Kebede, and Gadisa Mebrate establish a great combination upfront. And the two strikers scored 12goals (6 goals each) this season. And they scored a brace against Sidama Coffee and Wolwalo Adigrat University.
