Addis Ababa City’s Football Federation names Fetudin Jemal the best player of the city cup

Salhadin Seid was given two honors
St. George coach Srdjan Zivojnov was awarded the best coach of the competition

In a ceremony held yesterday 23December, 2019 at the Intercontinental hotel, The Addis Ababa City Football Federation has awarded the best player, best scorer and best goal of the Addis Ababa City Cup competition which was held from 9 to 23 November, 2019.
Accordingly the two times man of the match Fetudin Jemal was named the best player of the competition. The defender was awarded 65,000 Birr for his best performance in the competition. Fetudin joined Bunna this year from Sidama and has already proved to create the best defensive line with Wendmeneh Dereje who has also moved this year from Bahir Dar to join the Brownies.


In a similar development, the veteran striker of St. George Salhadin Seid has received the best scorer and the best goal of the competition awards. Salhadin won the best scorer award scoring four goals in 4 matches. The striker’s goal from a distance against Welkite was chosen as the best goal of the competition.


The Serbian coach who joined Kidus Giorgis last summer and won the championnat was awarded the best coach of the competition.
Besides, the City’s federation has recognized the works of the veteran journalist Meshesha Weldie, the radio journalist Seid Kiyar, the national team head coach Ins. Abraham Mebrahtu and the former national team coach Asrat Haile.

The federation has also bestowed recognition for Ins. Beletsh WoldeMariam and Getachew Hailemariam for their contribution in football as well the Addis Media Network for the exclusive coverage of the event.
