Ethiopian Premier League is the best in East Africa”

President of Ethiopia Bunna and Ethiopian Premier League SC Fekade Mamo has confirmed that the Ethiopian international Aboubacar Nasir has penned for the Brazilians in South Africa.

The president stated this during a ceremony at the Dire Dawa Ras Hotel to welcome all Premier League clubs for the next ten rounds that it is not the league that is weak, but the coach himself. I’d rather have fielded Abubakar at the fore front to Getaneh.

I’m not a coach, but I’ve been watching football for about Fifty years and I don’t understand why Abubakar was playing on the wing. He should have been playing up front.” regretted the president

Aboubakar, the Premier League’s top goal scorer last season, has finally settled at Sundowns, and a contract has been signed between his club Ethiopia Bunna and Mamelodi Sundowns.

According to the president, Abubakar was given a trial and eventually convinced the club to secure his contract with the Brazilians. Abubakar will remain in Bunna for the rest of the season before joining his new club in the summer.

According Fekade Mamo, several clubs expressed interest in signing Abubakar, and some even traveled to Cameroon to watch him play. However, Aboubakar was assigned to a different position.

The president said “Some even questioned why he was in this role rather than his primary role as a number.”

We said “we don’t know; all we knew was that it wasn’t Abubakar; only the coach knew why he did that”, we know it was wrong.
